Today, Kalypso Media announced they would be joining the market for publishing console games by brining Tropico 3 to the Xbox 360. It comes as no surprise that they would choose the Xbox 360 as their launch console. Despite having better overall technology, the Sony PS3’s high price point still makes it the least favorite console to launch new games on.

Kalypso Media, a rapidly growing international publisher of interactive entertainment software, today announced that it is publishing Tropico 3 for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. This announcement marks Kalypso’s entrance into the popular console market, and does so with an extremely popular video game franchise. Both the Xbox 360 version and the previously announced PC game are scheduled to ship in September.
Stefan Marcinek, Global Managing Director, Kalypso Media Group said: “The Tropico 3 release on the Xbox 360 is a first for Kalypso and marks the beginning of an exciting entry into the console market. Through 2010, Kalypso Media plans to release four titles for both the Xbox 360 and PC.”
