vtennisHey gamers and tennis fans, Virtua Tennis 2009 hit streets last Tuesday and we have an awesome giveaway in support of the release, courtesy of Sega. One lucky player will get to win this prize package:

1 Sega Sweatshirt
1 Virtua Tennis Headband
2 Virtua Tennis finger sweatbands

What do you have to do to get your mitts on such an awesome prize package? You need to tell us who is your favorite professional tennis player of all time and why  in the comment section below. (Ex. My favorite Tennis Pro is John McEnroe because of his insane temper - well, I hope your reason is better than that one).

Entering the contest means you understand the following terms. You’ve got to be 18 years of age (or 13 with a parent’s permission), reside in the USA and provide your name and a valid email address (we assure you it’s only used to contact the winner). Speaking of the winner, he or she will be chosen at random, although we’ll tend to ignore less-inspired entries. If you win, you will be contacted via email and will have 7 days to claim your prize. Make sure you get your entry in before Sunday July 5, 2009 11:59PM PST!

About the game:

Virtua Tennis 2009 will again allow you to take on the world’s top tennis players in some of the most realistic courts to be found on gaming consoles. Take on the likes of Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer or play as Maria Sharapova against Venus Williams to recreate some classic court battles. Joining this impressive roster of tennis stars are several new players for 2009, including men’s World No.4 Andy Murray and ladies French Open champion Ana Ivanovic. In addition to the traditional singles, doubles and mixed doubles matches, Virtua Tennis 2009 will also have the official Davis Cup license, giving players the coveted opportunity to lead their country to glory!

Virtua Tennis released on the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and PC on June 9, 2009.

The U.S. public best remembers Billie Jean King for her win over Bobby Riggs in 1973 in The Battle of the Sexes. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in this giveaway!

Chris Evert is my favorite. I grew up watching her play against Billie Jean King. She was the best.
