As Heroes has strayed far from what made it awesome in the first season, I’ve found that I’ve had to drag myself in front of the TV to watch the last 2 seasons. But the announcement that Robert Knepper will be joining the show as Season 4’s main villain is enough to get me back on the saddle (and excited, mind you) for another go around.

If you don’t know Knepper, he played one of the greatest TV villains of all time on Fox’s Prison Break: Theodore “T-Bag” Bagwell. Vile. Nefarious. Wicked. All words not strong enough to describe how evil and despicable this guy really was. And he was evil all the way to the core.

But that’s a testament to Knepper’s awesome acting abilities. He was one of the rare actors on the show that could really throw down an amazing performance (I also give props to William Fichtner as Alex Mahone and Wade Williams as Brad Bellick). And despite being the uber bad guy, he was versatile enough to be simutaneously be the show’s comic relief.

Knepper will play Samuel, described as a charismatic, but wicked man with a sick sense of humor (doesn’t that sound awesome?) that will weave his way into the lives of all the heroes.

A definite round of kudos is in store to Knepper; I can’t wait to see him cause havoc in the next chapter, which is being dubbed as “Redemption.”
