24 producers are quickly filling their Day 8 roster, just announcing the addition of Mykelti Williamson as the new Director of the Counter Terrorist Unit.
You may have seen Williamson in shows like CSI: New York and Boomtown, but you’ll definitely remember him for his role in Forrest Gump as Private Benjamin Bubba Blue. The veteran actor will play Brian Hastings, who is described as man of razor-sharp intellect and having an MBA. This news confirms rumors that CTU will be reinstated next year.
He joins a number of additions to the cast, including Anil Kapoor and the recently announced Freddie Prinze, Jr., who will play a field operations agent that wants to grow up to be Jack Bauer.
The eighth season of 24 begins next January.
