“Up,” the latest 3D adventure from Disney-Pixar, is almost here.
Pixar films have always held the crown in bringing audiences unconventional leads in their CG imaginings. “Up” is no different. Just like in Beauty and the Beast, you won’t find your hero in the likes of the handsome sportsman Gaston. Instead, you’ll find yourself falling in love with a 73-year old balloon salesman, named Carl Fredricksen. Carl is a recluse, seeking adventure and escape from a local 8-year-old nuisance, Russel.
If you’ve ever watched Dennis the Menace before, you’ll get the gist of this relationship. Carl is much like Mr. Wilson. As much as Carl would like to be left alone, Russel helps him to remember his youth.
