This fall, Rockstar Games will be switching gears in the world of open-world exploration with Red Dead Redemption.
Instead of your typical street gang war filled with car thefts, Rockstar is heading back in time to bring gamers a Spaghetti Western style game. Red Dead Redemption is set at the turn of the 20th century in the old West follows, following the events of Red Dead Revolver for the Xbox.
In Red Dead, players can explore frontier towns, rolling prairies teeming with wildlife, and perilous mountain passes - each packed with an endless flow of varied distractions. This is the old West so expect a lot of gunslinging action along the way. Gamers will experience the heat of gunfights and battles, meet a host of unique characters, struggle against the harshness of one of the world’s last remaining wildernesses, and ultimately pick their own precarious path through an epic story about the death of the Wild West and the gunslingers that inhabited it.

Red Dead Redemption comes to the Sony PS3 and Xbox 360 Fall 2009 from Rockstar Games.
