Heroes Season 3 Finale Episode 25 (Lead In): An Invisible Thread

We’ve come full circle since Heroes premiered three years ago. Sylar is back to being the villain he was always meant to be - now, with stronger motivations. He has claimed one of the futures were were privy to see, walking in Nathan Petrelli’s body through by shape shifting.

For a second we thought things would change. Danko put a knife in the back of Sylar’s head. But, alas, Sylar is still alive. How is this possible? We’ll have to wait for them to explain that in the Heroes season finale on April 27. The only question is, how the heck did Arthur Petrelli die so easily. Many Heroes fans thought that this was one of the biggest plot flaws in Volume 3: Villains. How was it that the most powerful “Villain” died with a simple gun shot, when Sylar has survived being killed on multiple ocassions.

Bypassing the loophole, Volume 4: Fugitives is still one of the strongest volumes to date in Heroes. We don’t know where Sylar’s allegences will lie now that Danko has tried to kill him. All of our Heroes have been captured. And, one of the second best Villains to show up on Heroes faces an immedate slaying from Heroes top Villain, Sylar. Although, I can live without Sylar’s mother issues, Sylar is becoming the conflicted Villain that we hoped he’d become season 1. His motivations excel beyond mere power lust. Sylar’s not the Magneto character we’d like him to be, a crown that was meant for the late Arthur Petrelli, but he still has a some sentiment of goodness in him. He did save Micah after all.

As for Hiro Nakamura, his powers appear to have become a death sentence. Instead of freezing time, he’s getting nose bleeds from use. This is reminiscent of Peter Petrelli, season 1, who always passed out when he used his powers. Will Ando rise up to the ocassion as the Batman he believes himself to be?

Nathan (Adrian Pasdar) faces off against Sylar (Zachary Quinto) to keep him from meeting the President (guest star Michael Dorn). Sylar has his own plans for his new partner. Meanwhile, Hiro (Masi Oka) learns that there are repercussions to regaining his ability. Elsewhere, Matt (Greg Grunberg) is forced to go to extraordinary lengths to protect his future with his family. Jack Coleman, James Kyson Lee, Hayden Panettiere, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Cristine Rose and Milo Ventimiglia also star.
