Well, it’s April and that means that our amazing seventh season of 24 is winding down. It’s hard to believe that we’re almost 75% of the way through the season, but as they say, time flies when you’re having fun.
Someone who is NOT having fun is Jack Bauer, who is now feeling the full affects of the lethal pathogen. But Jack being down is good for a few reasons. First, it gives our hero the chance to get some sympathy from FBI hottie Renee (these two are SO going to hook up by the end of the day or at least by the eighth season). And second, it allows us to see Tony Almeida back in action on a solo mission to locate the WMD deep inside Starkwood.
Meanwhile, the POTUS’ daughter continues to do her best impression of Sherry Palmer, meaning she’s corrupt to the core, willing to do anything and everything to get her way. Sleeping with the slimy reporter dude was one thing, but video taping it (on a SPRINT phone, no less) and bribing him was downright grimy.
And guess who’s back and 1) is up at 1AM and 2) just happens to be in Washington D.C. too? It’s Kim Bauer! Yup, Jack’s daughter is back for another trip down abandoned-daughter-lane. Before you start to sicken yourself with the thoughts of cougar chases in the woods and Kim working in CTU, she’s back for a good reason this time: to presumably save his life (he’ll undergo an experimental procedure using her DNA to be magically cured of the pathogen). As much as I hated Kim (mostly in Seasons 2 and 3), it will be good to see another familiar face from the past, especially since most of the people from the show’s first years are already six feet under.
