The Hardy Boys are joining the Nancy Drew in making a move to the Nintendo Wii. In 2008, Sega ported “Nancy Drew: The White Wolf of Icicle Creek” from the PC to the Nintendo Wii. Now, DreamCatcher is transporting Nancy’s friends, the Hardy Boys, to the Nintendo Wii.
“The Hardy Boys: The Hidden Theft” is set to be released September 2009.
Dan Dawang, Product Manager at The Adventure Company, said “The Hardy Boys for Wii is an excellent choice in games suitable for the whole family. It incorporates an enjoyable story, likeable characters and challenging puzzles.”
Though the port will have a modest $29.99 price tag, I’d honestly prefer if DreamCatcher delivered an original Hardy Boys title. Why? For too long publishers have reduced the Wii to a system lacking in exclusively designed content that maximizes on the Wii’s design.
Dawang added, “It’s a non-violent video game option that players of all ages and fans of The Hardy Boys book series can become a part of with the immersive gameplay style of Wii.”
