Lost came back this week from a brief hiatus and was more confusing than ever. And, that’s not a bad thing.
When we last left our Oceanic survivors, Sawyer aka Jim LaFleur, just learned that some of his fellow survivors were back on the island. Needless to say, his heart jumped after seeing Kate back on the Island. And, you know what that means. Love triangle. Since getting trapped in 1977, Sawyer has shacked up with Juliet, Jack’s former love interest. Wait a second, how could we have forgotten Jack. Make that a love quadrangle. We saw Jack’s face after he learned Juliet was living with Sawyer. And, then the look of chagrin doubled when Sawyer gave him a lesson on leadership.
The big mystery of the season, which may really just be filler, is why the hell is Sun in the future, while the rest of the Oceanic 6 stay stuck in the past. It’s a little strange to say the least. If Ben was the only one who stayed forward in time it would make sense. Sun being one of the survivors of Oceanic 815 belonged with her peers. Since she somehow stayed forward in time, we are left to wonder what makes her different from the others (and by others I’m not referring to the island natives).
Then there’s the whole matter of John Locke. He was no where to be found in “Namaste.” We all know he’s alive. And, that’s understandable in the world of Lost because Locke was always considered special. Not to mention, that when the last plane crashed Christian Shephard somehow was reborn. So, within the realms of the laws of Lost, it’s not too far fetched to comprehend a resurrected Locke, since he was wearing Shephard’s shoes. It’s got to be the shoes, right?
Now, as to whether these episodes are more filler episodes reminiscent of Lost Season 3 remains to be scene. It is inevitable that the survivors will go back forward in time. So, the real question is what do they have to accomplish in 1977 for this to be worthwhile Lost story arc to follow?

They have to try and stop little Ben killing everyone in the darma initiative!?!
