If you liked the post-credits cameo of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury in last year’s Iron Man, then you’re going to absolutely love the nugget of news that came out today.
The seasoned actor, who has seemingly played just about every type of character there is, has signed an unbelievable NINE FILM contract with Marvel to reprise his role as Nick Fury in films with different superheroes. We already know that he’s going to be in Iron Man 2, which is due in theaters next year. But he will also appear in film versions of “Thor,” “Captain America,” “The Avengers,” and its sequels. There are also rumors of a “S.H.I.E.L.D” movie in the works.
This is great news that Marvel is locking Fury down and it will certainly bring a sense of continuity and overlap to the comic book studio’s movies. And I’m definitely happy that they’re not going back to David Hasselhoff, who also has played Nick Fury.
