On Feb. 24, Rapper 50 Cent drops his newest video game “50 Cent: Blood on the Sand.” It’s the sequel to his first game title bearing his name “50 Cent: Bulletproof.”
The rappers fame helped Bulletproof sell millions of units on the Xbox, but lackluster graphics, poor integration of music and lack of a well thought out story hurt the game.
Blood on the Sand, released by THQ, will be launched on both the 360 and PS3 gaming consoles. After watching preview footage of the game, it seems that the design team has stepped up the graphics from Bulletproof; the colors are more vibrant and don’t wash out against the background.
On the story side, we don’t have much details. It seems like a straightforward simple action-adventure game. You star as 50 and his crew fighting through war-torn countries on a mission to collect payment from a crime cartel boss. Attention seems to once again be focused on shooting and blood, and not really on a well-thought-out story.
50 Cent says, “Blood on the Sand has non-stop action and exclusive music tracks from me and the G-Unit that you won’t find anywhere else… Plus our fans will be able to play together with online co-op, and maybe even join me or one of the G-Unit online.”
