The lines never stopped growing at NY Comic Con for Sega’s upcoming Madworld release, by developer Platinum Games.

The game was an instant eye-catcher, toting some of the most bloody fight scenes ever to grace a console system. Taking advantage of the comic craze to sweep the nation, Platinum Games designed Madworld in the style of movies like Sin City and the Spirit. The graphics are stylized like a comic book in black and white, with only one exception.

The Blood.

Get ready to feel like you’re living through the end of “Kill Bill Vol. 1.” Each time you pump your Wii Remote and execute a number of bone-crushing moves on your opponent, you’ll see buckets and buckets of blood explode on your screen. If this doesn’t sound like your average Wii title, it shouldn’t. Sega steps up as the lead publisher of non-remake Wii specific games, which we applaud.

For too long has the Wii been considered a kiddie console because game publishers have stuck to remaking old titles for the system, without a thought to upgrading the graphics or gameplay. Games like Madworld and Conduit (an upcoming FPS from High Voltage Software) were designed solely for the Wii. Finally, games mature audiences can play that take advantage of the Wii design. Sega is boss.

Madworld hits the Nintendo Wii March 2009. Check out these shots of gamers engrossed in one hellova Madworld.

Come on Syd, grow a heart. I LOVE WII SPORTS! I have a Wii too and would not mind an adult upgrade. This one sounds a little too “BLOODY” for me ;)

I’ve got a Wii, and really want a PS3. My wife won’t have it. I need more Wii games to play and not the corny Wii Play crap that keeps coming out. If she has another wii party with wii sports i’ll slit my wrists. There’s your blood.
