Rock Band is about to get Gangsta. Or, is that Jiggy? Whatever the case may be, Rock Band is getting a dose of Snoop Dogg in the coming months.

Today Snoop Dogg, the former herald of the Dogg Pound and Death Row Records turned pop star, announced a deal with MTV to bring the rap music to Rock Band. Yes, Rock Band isn’t just for Rock and Roll anymore, now it’s getting a dose of hip hop. So, for those of you tired of playing the Beastie Boys “So What’cha Want” over and over again, soon you’ll be able to sing-a-long to more refined rap songs like “Murder Was the Case that They Gave Me” and “Gin and Juice.”

Hopefully. The infamous marijuana-smoking doggy pimp has yet to say which songs will be licensed in this deal with MTV, but I’m praying it’s just not “Sexual Seduction.” I hate that song.

Rock Band is developed by Harmonix and published by Electronic Arts.
