2K Sports is gearing up for the March release of Major League Baseball 2K9 and we’re head-over-heals excited about this title.
When you think of sports games, the back and forth rivalry between EA Sports and 2K Sports is a tale of legend. Over the past ten years each production house has dedicated their best efforts to become the lead in sports games. EA Sports took the early victory with their Madden franchise, forever dominating the world of football. The result, Madden hasn’t really improved over the past several years.
On the flip side, basketball titles have constantly seen an improvement year over year. Right now, 2K sports dominates the basketball gaming arena, for fans wanting realistic game play, while run and gun gamers will no doubt stick with NBA Live - foregoing defense for quick and fun gaming.
On the baseball side, there is no clear winner. However, Major League Baseball 2K9 may just be that title that pushes the baseball genre to the limit. 2K Sports is pulling out all the stops with this title, releasing humorous sketches with baseball stars to promote the release.
