Innocence isn’t skin deep. That’s the word with musician Chris Brown.
He may look like the nice kid next door, but that’s where it ends. According to Access Hollywood, Chris Brown was charged with a felony after an alleged violent incident Saturday night. Brown has been charged with battery against a woman, who reports are claiming to be Brown’s girlfriend Rihanna.
Rihanna and Chris Brown, each nominated for multiple Grammy awards, were absent from this Sunday’s Grammy awards. They were, however, seen Saturday at the Beverly Hilton, while attending the Grammy Salute to Industry Icons honoring Clive Davis.
Brown turned himself into the authorities Sunday evening. The LAPD stated, “Detectives investigating the alleged domestic violence felony battery booked him for criminal threats.”
“At the time the case is presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office, additional charges may be filed. It will be up the LA County DA to review the case and determine which charge or charges will be most appropriate.”
This is sad that someone with Chris Brown’s potential could commit an act like this in the infancy of his career. Hopefully, he suffers the full repercussions of his actions.
