The Tudors is getting ready for the premiere of an all new season. But, don’t call it a comeback. After two years of intense historical drama and sensual story arcs, The Tudors is getting ready to push your Jonathan Rhys Meyers desires to the limit. If you don’t believe me, just check out the promo poster below.
How many more seasons can we expect from the Tudors? We tried to get the scoop from Showtime, but their still keeping that under wraps for now. However, if you cycle through history, you’ll note that Henry VIII, though not as strikingly handsome as Meyers, had six wives. If season one can be considered the fall of Catherine of Aragon, then Season 2 is the rise and fall of Anne Boleyn - who gloriously lost her head. Season 3 picks up with Henry’s third marriage to Jane Seymour, the only woman to him a male heir.
Will we be able to count the longevity of the Tudors by the number of Henry’s wives? Only time will tell. Jane had a short life after marrying Henry, so The Tudors may sneak a fourth wife or so into this season.
