The episode opens up with Clark learning that Martian Manhunter John Jones was shot while working as a detective. Almost sounds like a page stolen from DC Comics’ Final Crisis.

Mr. Kent decides to go undercover to find the culprit. And, by some stroke of luck, he’s paired with the exact police squad that is behind the John Jones shooting. The coincidence sounds almost scripted, doesn’t it?

Kristin Kreuk’s recent work on Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li has translated over to her Smallville character. Lana starts quoting Aikido fortune cookie lines to Tess to convince her that she’s on the wrong path. The result of the fight was truths exposed.

Lana reveals to Tess that Lex had a nano transmitter hardwired to her optic nerve, forcing Tess to re-evaluate her position as head of Luthercorp. What is it about comic books and nano technology? Reminds me of the Justice League Unlimited cartoon “Dark Heart.” Lana’s shocking news forces Tess to reevaluate her position as the head of Luthercorp. Not to mention, Tess finally proclaims Lex dead in favor of an alliance with Oliver Queen.

Clark’s feelings for Lois comes out when Chloe confronts him about his relationship with Lana. Can someone just inject him with a kryptonite sense of reality? Lana’s soooo season 3. Get over her. She slept with LEX. Nuff said. Lois is where it’s at.
