Lost is coming back for season 5, Jan 21 with a 2-hour premiere. Now without giving away any spoilers, let me just let you know that the season premiere is all that you would expect from Lost and more.

Well… that’s if you’re a dedicated Lost follower. Most people who try to jump on to the Lost bandwagon will be sorrily disappointed. And, any Lost fanatic knows why. To truly appreciate the brilliance of Lost you had to be a fan from day 1. Unfortunately, that also means having to suffer through those moments of hating Lost. Hating those mysteries that appear to have no answers. And, hating the occasional drawn out stories and ambiguous plot lines that riddled season 3.

But, we still love Lost - especially after the edge-of-your-seat season delivered with season 4.

Episode 1, “Because You Left,” will immediately bring you right back into the world Lost. It’s fast paced, answers several questions, and opens up even more mysteries. So be careful to time bathroom and popcorn breaks around commercials, else you may miss some vital information. Of course the most important question on everyone’s mind is the fate of John Locke. Let’s just say you’ll have to wait and see for yourself.

Episode 2, “The Lie,” is slightly more slower paced, but will end with a bang that will bring a tear to your eye.

One thing we will say about the 2-hour premiere is that a few old faces will show up to ring in the new season. Plus the mystery surround Charles Widmore will start to move to the forefront of Lost. Now, the only question is, who is the real villain: Charles Widmore or Ben Linus? The answer lies in the eye of the beholder.

Be sure to tune into the premiere of Lost season 5, Wednesday Jan 21 on ABC between 8-11PM. The 2-hour premiere will be preceded by an hour exploring the mysteries of the island special. Get details on the island, its inhabitants, Oceanic 6, Charles Widmore, questions that have been answered and those that remain.

I’m so cautious when watching because so many of my favorite shows go bad. It’s four episodes in and I’m still so excited. Season 5 is really that good.

Having already seen the first three episodes I have to agree with you. Lost fans will not be disappointed by tonight’s premiere or next week’s episode. I also recommend that you don’t miss even a second of the premiere. You will become lost quickly and why would you want to miss any of the premiere in the first place?
