It’s official. Fox’s Prison Break will conclude its run after four seasons.
Fox president Kevin Reilly told reporters at the TV Critics Press Tour:
“Prison Break had a hell of a run, but the run has ended. This will be the last year of the show.”
As fond as I am of the show, its characters and the overall awesomeness that it brought since debuting back in 2005, I think it’s time to end. In fact, I think they should’ve ended it after 2 seasons, but creative and financial interests don’t always coincide, do they?
You can expect to see about 4 more episodes of the Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows saga starting April 17. It’s unclear whether there will be 1 or 2 more to conclude or if they will end it with a made for TV movie that is similar to 24’s Redemption.
