Dexter’s Hall and Carpenter Marry

Congratulations are apparently in order to Dexter’s Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter. And no, it’s not for the Golden Globe nominations the show has received; it’s for them tying the knot.

The two, who play brother and sister on the show, secretly eloped on New Year’s Eve. The couple had been dating surreptitiously for over a year and half. It’s rumored that producers found out about the two and disapproved.

It’s probably natural to think this is weird, since most of us only know them in the context of brother and sister, but it’s obviously commonplace for co-workers to fall in love. And quite frankly, it’s obvious that their dating didn’t affect their acting on the show at all, given the awesome job both put forth in Dexter’s third season.
