greek_dvdThe brothers and sisters of Cyprus Rhodes University are back from break, and nothing is off limits. Greek continues with Chapter Two filled with all the promiscuous sex and underaged drinking you’ve come to love in this endearing series.

Endearing? Yes. Greek does what most college shows have only attempted in passing. It’s not the teen high school drama that transitions to college life after three or four years before dying a slow death on the cancellation block. No. Greek puts you in the heart of a teenager’s journey into adulthood, with the main cast members split between upperclassman and freshmen. So, don’t expect the biggest decision to be whether or not they’ll join the Greek life. They’re already there and having the time of their lives.

But don’t think being Greek is one big party. You’ll quickly warm up to these fun-loving dynamic characters who face some heartfelt ethical dilemmas.

Greek: Chapter Two has all the love quadrangles from season one, with an extra touch of duplicity. After Casey’s breakup, in Chapter One, we get to see a more sympathetic side to her as all of her defenses have been broken down. She’s toting the flag of single womanhood, but Evan is still lurking in the shadows - literally. Cappie has moved on to dating the one person who Casey can’t stand – Rebecca. Now that Rebecca has sunken her claws into Cappy, we’ll get to see a different side of the rebelling government snob. You’ll almost feel sorry for her at times. Almost.

With Casey’s guard down, Evan isn’t the only one digging through her emotional barrier. Frannie, on the outs with her sisters, will try to win back Casey’s heart.

The wars being staged at Cyprus Rhodes will extend past the emotional gloves of your teenage relationship. The Greeks will duke it out against the faculty who is trying to put a stop to their wild ways. And, who’s right there with the staff? None other than Dale, the moral compass of CRU will brandish the U-SAG flag with a new ally.

This chapter is one that will please anyone looking for a few laughs, with a sprinkle of ethical dilemmas. Greek life is more than a party, and Greek: Chapter Two is more than your typical teenage drama.

The DVD is light on bonus features which is upsetting. Chapter two features an awesome flashback episode that will tell you how all the drama began, with Evan and Cappie first arriving on campus. The DVD set features a behind the scenes look at the episode, but it’s hardly enough to satisfy your average Greek fan’s taste for over-indulgence.

Bonus Features Include:
- Bloopers
- Flashback Episode - “And So It Begins”
- Audio Commentaries
- Music Videos — “Natureal Disaster” Performed by The Plain White T’s
