In what can only be described as a disastrous turn of events, a federal judge has weighed in on the 20th Century Fox and Warner Bros. fight over who truly has rights to the distribution of the upcoming Watchmen Movie. The upcoming big screen adaptation of the critically acclaimed graphic novel was produced by Warner Bros. in association with Legendary Pictures.
United States District Judge Gary Feess disclosed the decision to give Fox their rights for distribution of the film today in a written order. He did mention that both companies could work to come to an agreement or appeal his decision.
For now, still expect Watchmen to be released on March 6, 2009. But make sure you cross your fingers, hold your breath and carry a rabbit’s foot around in your pocket - anything could help at this point.

Wait, so who did the judge say had rights to the movie, fox or Warner Bros?
