Heath Ledger has landed a posthumous Golden Globe nomination for best supporting actor for his role as The Joker in the Dark Knight.
The Dark Knight, heralded as one of the best movies of 2008, took in 530M in Box office sales in the US.
Heath Ledger staked a claim on being the greatest Joker of all time, stealing the crown from Jack Nicholson and his campier version of the character.
Ledger died of an accidental overdose of a number of prescription medications on January 22, 2008.
The 66th Annual Golden Globes airs Sunday, Jan. 11, 2009 at 8PM on NBC.

Well deserved nod for Heath, but it’s complete BS that Nolan wasn’t nominated for Best Director and the film for Best Picture. The Academy better get it right.
