With only two more episodes left this season, the question still remains, will Hank and Karen stay together or finally part ways? Honestly, I’m getting tired of the back and forth yo-yo relationship between the two. As much as I love watching Karen, I just want to see the Californication move past that plot line.
In Episode 10, “In Utero,” the best moments of Hank’s life flashed before his eyes. We journeyed with Hank from the moment he learned of Karen’s pregnancy - with Becca - to the moment he realized that Karen was the only woman for him.
Too bad several years later Hank has yet to man up and commit his life to Karen. Sure facing the possibility of cancer had Hank all emotional for a good two seconds, but that emotional outpouring didn’t even last a full episode. Going forward Hank is left with a single decision, grow up and become a single gal guy or admit to being California’s Peter Pan - the boy who just won’t grow up.
Now, let’s move on to Charlie Runkle - the guy who turned a would-be porn star into a upstanding citizen. Daisy has fallen head-over-heels for California’s notorious on-the-job masturbating agent. And, Charlie couldn’t be more pleased that Marcy is in rehab. Can you feel the decadence.
I had to laugh when Daisy said she wanted her final on-camera sex scene to be with Charlie Runkle. I guess a girl’s got to have goals because standards are obviously out the window.
Two side-stories remain up in the air as we move towards the Californication season finale.
Will the world find out that Hank is the man Mia refers to in “Fucking and Punching?”
And, did Hank father a second child?

I really don’t like Daisy. Charlie is a loser for never standing by his wife. She was the one who supported him when he was caught masturbating and kicked out as a hollywood agent.
