Touchmaster 2 is a fun game that will help you pass the time, whether you’re stuck in a hospital waiting room or on a flight around the world. The wide variety of puzzle and strategy games will give any Brain Age or Suduku stickler a refreshing challenge to their daily routine.
Touchmaster 2 is Midway’s latest addition to the mini-gaming market. The DS title features 20 new mini-games that pays homage to the cliche “something for everyone.”
Unlike the original Touchmaster, you won’t have a problem finding a genre of game to play due to a poor menu system (yes, some people just don’t have the patience to search). In Touchmaster 2, Midway has revamped their menu with 5 Categories:
1) Cards featuring Combo 11, Carpet, Poker Slide, Triples and Speed Solitaire
2) Action featuring Bowling, Catwalk Caper, Billiards, Beaned!, and Speed Demon
3) Strategy featuring Super Mahki, Dice King, and Prismatix
4) Picture Games featuring View Finder, Scavenger, What is it?, and Picture Slide
5) Puzzle featuring Rampage Empire, Spellwinder, and Catacombs
Though most of these games may be new to you, you’ll easily be able to overcome any learning curve regardless of age. The games are simple to learn, but are difficult enough to rack your brain trying to beat your personal best score.
Each game comes with its own trophy system to keep you competitive against yourself and others. Plus, you’ll be able to play many of the games with challengers using the single cartridge multi-player mode.
Though graphics and sound were obviously not a concern in the making of Touchmaster 2, fans of lateral thinking puzzles will find the Strategy and Puzzle games to be a refreshing addition to their repertoire.
Old time Rampage fans will love this new version of the classic. Well that’s only if you also like word jumbles. In Rampage Empire, instead of demolishing buildings and various methods of transportation at random, you’ll have to un-jumble several words to get your bash on.
Of course no mini-game collection would be complete without it’s own reserve of Tetris-type games. Super Mahki, Dice King, and Prismatix will give any Tetris fan the quick fix they need to get through the day.
Overall, Touchmaster 2 is an addictive game that will provide a quick jolt of entertainment or a brief puzzle to rack your brain.
