After surviving the infamous 2007-2008 WGA strike, Chuck returns for Season 2.
In the Chuck season 2 premiere, entitled “Chuck vs. the First Date,” Bartowski gets word that he’s a stone throw away from being decommissioned as the intersect. What do you do when your life is almost back to normal? Get the girl.
Or at least try to. Chuck and Sarah finally have a real date–only to be disrupted by a menacing new operative, Mr. Colt (Michael Clarke Duncan). As if he didn’t have enough to worry about with Casey and the government on a constant cock-block throughout season 1.
Give it up to Chuck for bringing back the 1986 hit “Hip to be Square” by Huey Lewis. Any show that plays Huey is OK in my book. Oh, and let me not forget to bring up A+ geek Morgan Grimes (Joshua Gomez) for adding a Call of Duty reference to the show. Watching Morgan whip out a strategy map for playing Call of Duty online nearly brought a tear to my eye. Nearly, but not quite. Unlike Johnny Drama’s recent wuss moment in Entourage, this guy’s not one to break down in tears.
Chuck returns Monday, Sept 29 at 8/7 C.
