Our first stop on the Showtime house tour is “The Tudors,” room designed by Laura Kirar.
One of my favorite places in the Showtime House is the confessional in “The Tudors” room. From the house entrance it just looks like a mirror. But when someone kneels down at the confessional within the room, a light goes on and they “become illuminated. This activates the two way mirror at the confessional and a microphone, where you can share your secrets with the person entering the house.
“The elements I find most inspiring,” says Kirar,” in the ‘Tudors’ is the story itself - so full of the timeless and timely themes of greed, religion, power and deceit - along with the extraordinary art direction and costuming.”

I DID NOT UNDERSTAND WHERE THE TUDOR ROOM IS LOCATED AND WHAT IS THE SIGNIFICANCE. I THOUGHT THAT THE SPEAKER DID NOT DO A GOOD JOB OF TELLING US WHY SHE DESIGNED THIS ROOM AND IT TOOK HER A LONG TIME TO DESCRIBE EACH OBJECT…
Oh wow that is so cool. I totally adore the Tudors
