MK vs. DCU introduces two new features to the fighting genre: Klose Kombat and Freefall Kombat.
Klose Kombat is pretty cool. It’s a new feature where you grab an opponent and pull them in. During Klose Kombat you can unleash a chain of brutal attacks while your opponent tries to break free.
Freefall Kombat is my favorite new edition. Many games have moments where you knock an opponent off of one landscape to another. Freefall Kombat allows you to keep fighting while you fall. The great thing is that if you’re the opponent (the person who gets knocked off of a higher landscape by an aggressor), you can still come out on top during freefall and become the aggressor as you drop. The positions can switch several times as you fall creating a superb dynamic fighting sequence.
