Thank the gods that the Writer’s Strike came to an end. That was a prominent point made by Ron Moore at the Battlestar Galactica panel.
With only 10 episodes left, a prolonged strike would have resulted in an lackluster end to a great series. Sci-fi would have had to pull the plug on Battlestar due to financial restrictions in production. Yes, the last episode was amazing, and extremely heart-wrenching, but if it ended there it would have left fans pissed off.
That having been said, what lies in store for the final 10 episodes of “Battlestar Galactica?”
The past several episodes have been exceptionally grim. So, expect the plot to dive deeper into darkness. Sure, the crew has found Earth. But, the Earth they’ve returned to is in shambles much like that memorable scene in “Planet of the Apes.”
The last 10 episodes will feature some time exploring Earth, and move to the finale from there. Moore revealed that the final Cylon is definitely someone from the current cast.
When asked about the finale, Katee Sackhoff said that “Kara finds peace.”
Jamie Bamber said, the ending “is the perfect way to end the show. It does everyone and everything justice.”
The final episodes are scheduled to air in 2009.

After doing several hours of comparison, I think it will be Kara thrace. If you look at the last supper style photo of the cast, it’s hinted at, plus all of the characters are compared against the original pantheon gods. And Kara is the only one that is missing.
The president is the final cylon. She’s the perfect candidate for a sleeper cylon.
I really hope Kara is not the final cylon. Everything points to her but I truly hope she is human. Is that what they want to say, that the most human person among us is a cylon?
