Outside of an encore presentation of the series finale of Avatar, not much was presented at the Comic Con panel.
We did learn that Avatar will live on in the gaming world through a MMORPG. So, inevitably by 2010 Comic Con we’ll probably see a game demo for Avatar online, much like that of the upcoming MMORPG DC Universe.
Alas, the movie will not continue the Avatar story. Instead it will be a live-action presentation of Book One: Water.
So we will not get a chance to see all the loose ends of the Avatar series finale come to a close. Nor, will we get to learn any of the side stories about Uncle Iroh’s past spirit world journeys. However, the panel did say that the Avatar creative team did have plans for Zuko searching out Ursa in the finale. Unfortunately, Mike DiMartino decided to cut the idea before it was animated.
