Here it is. Alan Moore’s the “Watchmen” trailer is finally out. The trailer is pretty awesome.
Dr. Manhattan was done exceptionally well. When I first saw the costumes I was worried that they were overtly comic book golden age. But the trailer gives each character a very realistic feel.

You know what would be really awesome though? If they just left the movie as this 2-minute trailer. I have serious doubts about this translating well into a 2 hour film. The story is very disjointed and uses flashbacks heavily, intermingled with news clippings.
Also, hard-core fans will be disappointed to learn that the “Tales of the Black Freighter” comic will be left out of the movie. “Tales of the Black Freighter” was a comic within the Watchmen comic. The panels of which were intermingled throughout the “Watchmen” comic and dealt with a castaway trying to warn his family about the return of the Black Freighter which housed damned souls.
Scary, right? No, just more of Alan Moore’s genius.
The producers claim “Tales of the Black Freighter” will be on the DVD though.
The “Watchmen” hits theaters March 6, 2009.
