Well comic lovers, it’s time for another week of joyous spending at the comic store. Several titles have made this week’s pull list. All make for good reads, but expect no superstars.
From DC Comics we have “FINAL CRISIS: ROGUES’ REVENGE #1 (OF 3),” which should be a good read with the return of Barry Allen. Also, the creative team of Geoff Johns and artist Scott Kolins have been reunited for this stint. Does life get any more exciting? I think not. Hopefully, Johns and Kolins can give us a Flash story worth reading because the current arc with Wally West sucks big time.
On the Marvel side, I have to start out by apologizing. Yes. The “Amazing Spider-Man” has made it back on the Buzzfocus pull list. Issue #566 guest-stars Daredevil. The story is simple, Spidey needs Daredevil’s help to protect his secret identity. Oh wait… you thought everyone, including Daredevil, already knew his identity.
Uhm, no.
See, Spidey made this deal with Mephisto - aka the devil. Which, uhhhh, un-wrote his marriage and un-wrote any knowledge the world had that he is Peter Parker. So, yes… SOMEONE MAY DISCOVER HIS SECRET IDENTITY. Luckily, if they do. He can just strike up another devilish deal. YAY SPIDEY!
Yes, I’m still bitter.
Three other titles from Marvel are definite pick-ups. We have Captain America, Mighty Avengers and X-Force, all of which have been excellent reads these past few months.
