If you’ve spent the past several months “Waiting to Exhale” in anticipation of the “Dark Knight” feature, then get ready for another treat. Alan Moore’s “Watchmen” will debut its trailer prior to the “Dark Knight.”
Don’t expect a teaser either. According to Chud, fans will get a full 2-minute trailer.

“The trailer isn’t narrative - you wouldn’t know what the fuck this movie is about just from watching this trailer. There’s one line of dialogue in the thing, and it’s Rorschach. Jackie Earle Haley’s Rorschach voice sounds cool but not contrived - he’s not putting on some ridiculous rasp or anything.”
Doubly Awesome.
The “Watchmen” aims to stay true to the comic book. Personally, the movie has to. Any other rendition of an Alan Moore work would only incite a geek-riot that I would have to be a part of.
Which means general audiences, who don’t know the difference between a “Killing Joke” and a “V for Vendetta,” will be out-of-luck if they expect another cheesy-linear big-studio comic tale.
“If there is a narrative thread in these two minutes, it’s the origin of Dr. Manhattan.”
2-minutes of “Watchmen” trailer before the “Dark Knight” … does life get any better? Doubtful.
