At the E3 Media and Business Summit in Los Angeles, Microsoft and Netflix have announced a new partnership that will give Xbox 360 and Netflix Subscribers instant access to more than 10,000 feature films and television shows. The new feature is to be implemented in the late fall and will be an interesting contrast to Microsoft’s pay per download movie service.
If you own a PS3 or a Wii, you’re out of luck. Streaming of these movies will only work on the Xbox 360.
There’s no word yet on what quality the movies will be in, but if you’re currently an XBox owner and Netflix subscriber, you’ve got to be pretty psyched to be getting sans extra digging into your pockets by the two companies.
