HBO has announced that it will release a 33 disc box set of the complete series of “The Sopranos.” But before you pull out your credit card and pre-order, be aware that the set will cost a whopping $400 retail!
The 10 pound set will contain all 86 original episodes as well as an interview with series creator David Chase conducted by Alec Baldwin and 2 “Supper With the Sopranos” featurettes that will show cast members sitting down for dinner to discuss their favorite episodes.
The $400 tag price might not seem bad when comparing to the retail prices of the individual seasons, but that sure does seem steep to the average consumer.
The DVD set will be in stores on November 11, 2008. Perhaps you’ll be able to catch a “Black Friday” sale on it.
