For those waiting to watch “Avatar: The Last Airbender” Book 3: Fire from start to finish, wait no longer. Nickelodeon and Paramount have announced that the Complete Book 3 DVD Set arrives on DVD September 16.
For U.S. fans who haven’t seen a new episode of Book 3 since “The Day of Black Sun,” you can buy the recently released (May 6) Book 3: Fire Volume 3, which contains part 2 of the “Day of Black Sun” and four other episodes (”The Western Air Temple,” “The Firebending Masters,” “The Boiling Rock: Part 1″ and “The Boiling Rock: Part 2″), two of which (The Western Air Temple,” “The Firebending Masters”)only aired in Canada.
Still no word on “what the heck was Nickelodeon and Paramount were thinking” when they decided to shaft U.S. audiences. The Avatar panel at Comic Con NY only said the Avatar journey would conclude in July. So keep holding your breath as the summer creeps closer.
Expect all episodes to air before July 29th, the expected released date for Avatar: the Last Airbender Book 3: Fire Volume 4. According to TVGuide, episodes will included: “The Southern Raiders,” “Ember Isle Players,” and the four-part finale “Sozin’s Comet.”
