Famed actor and director Sydney Pollack died of cancer Monday at his Pacific Palisades, California home. The actor was 73 years old.
Pollacks contributions to the entertainment industry are countless. He won an Oscar in 1986 for directing Out of Africa and Oscar nominations for directing both “Tootsie” and “They Shoot Horses, Don’t They?”
He also has a long career as an actor and was in recently Best Picture nominated, Michael Clayton. He also made an appearance in HBO shows The Sopranos and Entourage (as himself).
