About “The Next Food Network Star”
The Next Food Network Star is back this summer with a star-studded fourth season on Food Network. This season Bobby Flay takes a seat with the selection committee full-time and the finalists are put through the ringer to prove that they can take the cake (and the pizza, and the lobster, and the potato salad) to be the last chef standing and winner of his-or-her own Food Network show. The series kicks off with a few friendly Food Network faces on Sunday, June 1st at 10pm ET/PT. Visit http://www.foodnetwork.com/star for more on “The Next Food Network Star.”

I am a vegetarian. II like to create new foods for myself that are fun and sort of healthy a at the same time. I would love for the contestants to make my Buffalo Fried Green Tomatoes!! I slice green tomatoes about 1.4 inch thick, salt and papper on both sides and let them sit for about 15 minutes. Then I dredge them in flour, eggs and cornstarch and fry until they are golden brown. Then I mix two melted tablespoons of butter with three tablespoons of Texas Pete hot sauce (it has to be Texas Pete brand!!) and drizzle that generously over the tomato slices! ITIt is soooo good!

I am having a heard time reading this recipe on this box. It seems the entry form is a bit messed up. Please email me if you can’t read the recipe!

    Thanks,
    Tricia Andrews

My mom recently made a delicious broccoli and cheese stuffed chicken breast, with rice…if you like, you can add the broccoli and cheese to the rice as well. Very simple to make (just get frozen broccoli and some grated cheese, and use toothpicks to hold the chicken together while it cooks), and DELICIOUS! Thanks for the contest

I love grilled chicken with a BBQ sauce and finished off with a brushing of orange marmalade. I think it would be a different BBQ recipe that’s pretty good & simple.

I make an awesome roast chicken with half onions and carrots roasting in the bottom of the pan. I use chicken brooth and one boulion cube at the bottom of the roasting pan to keep the chicken moist.

A favorite way to obtain this is to cook my fish on my George Foreman grill. I can have a fish entree prepared and ready to consume in less than 5 minutes from start to finish.

I spray a cleaned filet with buttery flavored cooking spray on both sides, then sprinkle with different herbs and spices or a commercially available seafood blend (Tone’s and McCormick both make some really good blends if you do not want to blend your own)…perhaps a squeeze of a fresh citrus juice, and grill. Serve garnished with citrus wedges.

You can marinade you fish before grilled for a while, but not too long. Citrus juices in a marinade will cook a fish filet, so don’t marinade too long. Marinades also have a tendency to make a filet stick on the grill.

What could be better? Quickly prepared entree, low fat but lots of flavor, tasty tasty tasty results! As quickly as foods cook on a George Foreman Grill, the busiest person can still eat a healthy affordable meal at home.

The grill cleans up just as quickly as the entree cooks.

my favorite recipe is any homemade soup. you never hear about the goodness of soup except in a can and it would be great if someone could make a great tasting soup. so homemade vegetable soup would be my first choice.

Add onion soup mix to 1 lb. of ground beef along with a tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce. During grilling dash with more Worcestershire. Makes a delicious burger! Serve on onion buns!

I would love to see them tackle some Middle Eastern food - perhaps ta’amaaya (falafel) or even koshary. I would love to see more authentic Middle Eastern food being introduced to audiences on cooking shows, thanks!
