NBC has decided that Kings is royal enough to be called a series.
The new show starring Deadwood’s Ian McShane and Christopher Egan was originally ordered as only a 2 hour pilot for the fall. According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC executives decided it was worthy of their primetime lineup, and formally picked it up as a series.
“Kings” is a contemporary look at the tale of King David.
