Unreal Tournament 3 is finally coming home to console fans. Midway and Epic Games will be releasing the PC adaptation for the Xbox 360 Summer 2008. Unreal Tournament 3 kicks butt in ways that “Halo 3″ could never understand.

Key features include:
-New single player campaign
-Split screen capability
-Improved Matchmaking and Co-operative campaign play online
-Enhanced Game Types including: Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Team Deathmatch and an all-new “Warfare” mode

The fun’s only beginning for Xbox 360 owners. Midway has announced 5 new maps that will be exclusive to the 360. Plus Unreal Tournament for the 360 will include all the previously released downloadable content. There will also be two exclusive 360 characters, with enhanced abilities, detailed designs and distinct personalities.

The only thing that hasn’t been announced is the expandability of UT 3. PC gamers will recall that UT allowed players to upload their own custom skins and maps to share with fellow gamers. Hopefully, the console experience will stay on par with its PC predecessor.

The trailer looks awesome, and this could be the Summer game to dominate 360 online play.
