The Unit fans all across the world can now breathe a collective sigh of relief. The awesome CBS TV show has been brought back for Season 4, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Loading …THR also mentions that CBS executives were pleased with presentation of the upcoming season by the show’s creator, Shawn Ryan.
This should be counted as nothing less than a grand victory for the show’s fans, who campaigned and signed petitions to keep it alive. And frankly, CBS kept its fate more secret than any of The Unit’s special missions.
There’s no word yet on how many episodes season 4 will run. It’s also been rumored that the Eye network is considering moving the show from Tuesday nights to Friday nights. I’m not a fan of that move, but hey, I’ll take what I can get. Check back tomorrow for more information when CBS officially presents their upfronts at Carnegie Hall. The important thing is that this unique hour-long show about our beloved special forces will grace the CBS Fall.

UPDATE: CBS has moved The Unit to Sunday nights following The Amazing Race and Cold Case. This is not the greatest time slot for the show, but hopefully faithful fans and new ones will keep it strong.

Wow, this series goes to my soul. This viseral emotion of the series is why I joined the Marines. At over 50 I can enjoy the ride and not have to worry about little yellow foot prints.

love the unit, but hate the sunday night time slot. move it back to tuesday or friday. Also, i loved moonlight. Should never have cancelled the show.
CBS will kill this show having it on Sunday nights. What is wrong with CBS. Put the Unit on Tuesdays at 10pm The show is great if CBS cancels it they are nuts.
My husband was looking for The Unit tonight Sunday Jan.18, 2009. He is really in love with this show and I must say I am as bad as he is. We try not to miss a show. It is really a great show and I am so happy they decided to continue it another season. Love each and every one of the actors of the show.
If it ever gets cancelled, I will stop watching all CBS shows!
Why pay for TV if you can not get a program you really like and look forward to.
When is the next episode for season 4? It wasn’t on tonight, Dec 7 and it is longer listed in the Time Warner DVR bank when searching for shows. Are they moving the show from Sunday? They need to. A 10pm slot on a Sunday night is a death wish. Move it to follow NCIS or at the very least, move it to Friday.
