The Unit fans all across the world can now breathe a collective sigh of relief. The awesome CBS TV show has been brought back for Season 4, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Loading …THR also mentions that CBS executives were pleased with presentation of the upcoming season by the show’s creator, Shawn Ryan.
This should be counted as nothing less than a grand victory for the show’s fans, who campaigned and signed petitions to keep it alive. And frankly, CBS kept its fate more secret than any of The Unit’s special missions.
There’s no word yet on how many episodes season 4 will run. It’s also been rumored that the Eye network is considering moving the show from Tuesday nights to Friday nights. I’m not a fan of that move, but hey, I’ll take what I can get. Check back tomorrow for more information when CBS officially presents their upfronts at Carnegie Hall. The important thing is that this unique hour-long show about our beloved special forces will grace the CBS Fall.

UPDATE: CBS has moved The Unit to Sunday nights following The Amazing Race and Cold Case. This is not the greatest time slot for the show, but hopefully faithful fans and new ones will keep it strong.

Best show ever. Always stuck true to the Unit’s Code and couldn’t wait for the next showing. Never disappointed in any episode. So now what? We get to watch a group of people travel the world? Big deal. If I wanted reality I would travel myself. I want the Unit back. Any chance another network, station, USA or TNT will pick it up?
Phew, This is only a TV show but I feel so happy - What were you guys thinking, imagine telling your children that Christmas is not happening again, then you feel like I did - Crazy.

I hope you will be returning ” The Unit” for another season. It is clearly one of the best television shows available for viewing today, and there are many of us who miss it and are very concerned that it will be available for this fall lineup. Please make sure we can enjoy this again.

00RAH !! More Boots on the ground !!! i appreciated the episode where “The Unit” was in a tight spot in that town and The CORP (MARINES) came driving up with trucks and support troops. And believe me the CORP knows how to dep[loy in a real firefight, expert in weapons and hand to hand combat. Them and the recon force Marines, Army Rangers, and NAVY “SWIM TEAM” all are valuable assets when the going gets tough, and most are Wimping out. These folk lay it on the line. otherwise the wimps would have no rights, and live under slavery. People gripe about Guns wanting to tkae them away from law abiding folk, that would result in thugs having guns, not regular citizens. And by the way, talk about assault weapons ??? Over 43,000 people a year die in vehicle connected accidents in the United States alone, should we label motor vehicles “Assault weapons ??” Far higher death toll than Gun killings a year. How about baseball bats ?? Al Capone used them to kill competion. So lets outlaw the little league and big league. etc. etc. if someone hates guns, why do they call the Police in emergrencies, the Police have guns !!! So as YOU can see the anti-gun lobby are a bunch of hypocrites, many of them have armed bodyguards.

I LOVE THE UNIT. It’s one of the few good shows left. It’s interesting, and intertaining. It’s alot better than “The reality show” stuff that is scripted. A good portion of that stuff is so fake, it’s sickening. We need to fight for the good ones. The fans don’t get to pick what stays. I’ve seen too many shows taken off because some big wig decides to take it off.
When is season 4 released in the uk, does anyone know.

Our son got his dad and I hooked on this great show. What was cbs thinking when they cancelled it…best show on tv. Rumor has it that CW might be picking up ths show…I pray that’s true!
Since I first watched the trailer of the Unit, been searching everywhere to watch the entire episode. Before I knew it, I was already hooked up with it.
Two thumbs up for The Unit compared to the european counterpart of it “ulti…. for..”
This is one of the best there is CBS had released.
CBS might not realize it, but a lot of viewers especially in the “active service” watch this show.
Please CBS consider bringing the unit back to Season 5 and more, because Shawn Ryan is excellent in putting this up.
HOORAH!!!! This is the BEST military (weekly primetime) show out there! The cast is AWESOME and very convincing! Love the way it all went down with Whiplash towards the end of Season 3! Can’t wait for the DVD to hit the stores!
OMG the UNIT IS THE BEST!!!! ive heard from people that they arent having a new season. is that true? cause it is awesome…its not like you can predict what happens next cause they have twists and turns that are amazing…so are they having a new season? if so when?

Wow, this series goes to my soul. This viseral emotion of the series is why I joined the Marines. At over 50 I can enjoy the ride and not have to worry about little yellow foot prints.
The Unit rules! It’s a masterpiece! I’m trying to get season 4 on dvd now. Not easy to come by in Europe! Help!
