Singer Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are officially married. That’s the latest word in Hollywood. It seems the 11 year age difference didn’t matter to these two love birds. The two reportedly met on the set of Mariah’s new video “Bye Bye.”
The 38 year old singer married Cannon in a secret ceremony this weekend. Older women are turning the tables on men and making young lovers the latest craze. Demi Moore kicked off the trend, snagging up Ashton Kutcher who was 17 years her junior.
It’s no wonder why shows like “Lipstick Jungle” have chosen to emphasize this storyline of miss-matching generation romance.
Still no word on whether Mariah Carey will now go by Mariah Cannon. The latter sounds boring and doesn’t have the same melodic ring to it as Mariah Carey. Then again, Mariah Carey-Cannon does have a certain flair.
Here’s to women for taking over a standard that was previously only reserved for men.
