Actor Wesley Snipes has been sentenced to a 3 year jail sentence due to tax fraud. A federal judge ordered Snipes to one year of imprisonment for 3 separate instances of willfully failing to file a tax return.
Snipes’ lawyers unsuccessfully campaigned for a probation-only sentence, offering up letters from family and friends (including Denzel Washington and Woody Harrelson) that vouched for Snipes character.
