Iconic actor Charles Heston has passed away at the age of 84. The screen legend died Saturday at his Beverly Hills home with his wife Lydia at his side.
Heston was best known for his roles in Ben-Hur (which earned him an Oscar nomination) and The Ten Commandments, in which he starred as Moses.
He also was known for his political perspectives being a staunch supporter of the right to bear arms and serving as NRA president and spokesman for 5 years.
No cause of death has been specified although Mr. Heston resigned from his NRA post in 2002 due to possessing symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease.
