We’ve been following the Luthor rivalry since the first season of Smallville. Father vs. Son - an age old story. But from the previews of season 7 episode 16 “Descent” it looks like that rivalry will finally come to a crushing conclusion.

In the last episode of Smallville, Veritas, we learned that Lionel Luthor held the second key that Lex needed to open the mysterious vault protected by the Veritas group. Now Lex will confront his father, and guess what. Based on the previews (which like all previews should be taken with caution cause it could be just a clever studio edit), Lex will try to kill Lionel Luthor.
Loading …In the preview they also replay one of the greatest Smallville quotes of all time. Lex says, “I am the villain of this story,” in the episode when Lex is split into two halves - an evil and good side.
This looks like it will be an awesome epsiode and especially dark, so be sure to tune in April 17, for the all new episode of Smallville.
