The magical “once upon a time” celebrity wedding everyone was waiting for finally happened… then didn’t happen over the past weekend.Star Magazine had reported that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, the fairy tale couple with a larger than life story, had finally built up the nerve to get hitched. Unfortunately, fairy tale weddings only happen in fairy tales.Star Magazine wrote the following retraction on their website, “After further investigation, the sources are not standing by their story.”
According to the Daily News: OK! magazine, known to pay big bucks for some of its biggest scoops, was quick to spill that Star had offered $3,000 to the New Orleans minister who conducted what would have been the wedding of the century. “We spoke to the reverend . . . and he was able to completely dispel any talk of the marriage,” OK! editor in chief Sarah Ivens told The News. “In reality, he said he’s never met them but wishes them well.”
Too bad for Pitt-Jolie fans who have been waiting for an official wedding ever since the couple first started secretly dating.
