If you’re a fan of Prison Break, brace yourself. The unthinkable is about to happen.
Sarah Wayne Callies is set to return as Dr. Sara Tancredi!
How is this possible you say? Wasn’t that her severed head visibly displayed in a box? Michael Ausiello breaks the story in his TV Guide blog which features an interview with executive producer Matt Olmstead. Olmstead [obviously] states that it wasn’t Sara who was decapitated. I’m sure the writer’s will have some plausible reason why they jerked fans around into thinking she was dead. Even better, they better have a good reason (or eyeglass prescription) for Lincoln for thinking that the head did belong to the former Fox River doctor.
Personally, I hate this idea. Yes, it was crappy to write her out of the show like that, but I believe that once a character is visibly shown to be dead, things should stay that way (Although I’m willing to make an exception for the expected Season 7 revival of Tony Almeida in 24).
And Prison Break has also felt pretty uneven since the first season ended and this feels more like a forced re-entry of a fan favorite just because it was convenient to do so (SWC was on board for rejoining the show). The writer’s wrote themselves into a hole (and knew it) and are pulling out all the unlikely stops to get the buzz going for the 4th season. I mean, c’mon, bringing her back is probably more an egregious violation of fan loyalty than decapitating her was in the first place.
Loading …This also begs the question of when Michael will find out about her faked death. He’s hell-bent on a revenge trip right now, so will he go through with plans to tear Gretchen and The Company a new one? Will he punch Lincoln in the lip for not verifying that it was Ms. Tancredi?
What do you think? So has Prison Break gone too far and jumped the shark for real this time or are you just happy that the “MiSa” party is back in full force?
Yesssss!!!I’m so happy I can’t explain it!!!Finally Micheal could have a happy ending after all that he has sacrifised for others, it would be really unfair to show him destroyed in the end of the show, because he really would be destroyed if he had the blood of Sarah on his hands!So say what you want, it may be the most extreme thing, but I don’t care because this is justice!!!
Yeah! It’s great news, though I’m not a big fan of that whole “MiSa” thing, but still glad she’s back. I think the show’d be weird without a female lead too, but of course now there’s Gretchen/Susan B and Sofia, so i dont know. But i do think it’s a great move from the writers, and I can hardly wait to see her (and everyone else, of course) in season 4! How the hell am I gonna be able to wait until September? It seems so far away, except that it is…=)

I don’t know how they’ll explain this. I mean I’ve never picked up someone’s decapitated head before, but I can’t imagine faking it if you’re looking at it up close. Lincoln Burrows is a ditz.
this is totally weak sauce. I agree, once they’re dead. Stay Dead. I gotta admit though, i still will be watching season 4.
