From the MySpace blog of Nick Santora, writer and co-executive producer of the show, Fox is giving the Prison Break a 4th go-round. As Nick wrote on this blog this past Friday:
“So we got word on Wednesday that we are officially picked up by the network for Season 4. This is great news. We are all very excited. We are moving offices onto the Fox Studio Lot next week and we had to say goodbye to the offices that were our home for the past 3 years … not really that sad because, well, c’mon, it’s just a frickin’ building. But my new office is about half the size with just a tiny window which normally would suck except for one thing … I get to go to work everyday with people I love and respect and I get to be creative. So I don’t really give a rat’s ass what our new offices look like!”
Call Season 3 of Prison Break what you want, but it would’ve been a complete injustice to fans if the show would’ve ended with Michael driving off in pursuit of Gretchen and The Company. This announcement is great news to PB fans. Now that we’ve been granted a 4th season, our focus should now shift to what exactly NEEDS to happen during this hopefully last chapter in the tale. Off the top of my head, I need to see Gretchen die at the hand of Michael. Now, I know he hasn’t killed anyone, but payback for delivering Sara’s head like a pizza needs to be serious.
The Company also has to be dealt with in some way. Even if they aren’t “taken down” per se, we need to at least see why they’ve run Scofield and Burrow’s lives into the ground.
I’d also like to see Sucre free somehow, although I’m definitely NOT game for another prison escape - especially after they dragged the Sona escape out about 5 too many episodes. It would also be great to see some type of resolution to the characters of Lincoln, Mahone, T-Bag and Belllick (I could care less about Whistler - he wasn’t that interesting of a character).
