The Academy Awards may be over for 2008, but the dresses will be talked about for years to come.
Best dressed goes to her majesty Helen Mirren, who presented Daniel Day-Lewis (winner of Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for “There Will be Blood”).
Not only was she the best dressed, but she delivered a powerful statement on the red carpet. She said that the competition for men this year was stiff because so many gave outstanding performances. Mirren continued to say that, unfortunately women didn’t have the opportunity to show their creative talents as much this year due to the lack of powerful roles.
